I think y'all already heard about the pushups. :-} January 2 I maxed out at 52. Yes, that's half. :-D

  2. 104 pushups! Not consecutive (yet), but a milestone nonetheless! :-D

  3. Marine Corps Marathon, mile 23. :-D

  4. #dailymission 1.01. :-) I almost always wear my trusty Vibram Treksports, but I do keep a pair of Brooks Adrenalines just in case it's too cold or something.

3x1600 @ 7:14 w/1:00 recovery. Disappointed with pace once again, but not bad for the conditions, I guess. Cold, wet, windy, thank you sir may I please have another? #ETS

Nice work! You never know when you might encounter those conditions in a race, right? :)

Great job considering That was a very short recovery time...perhaps a factor? I would consider maybe 4-5 minutes recovery for mile repeats...just a thought.

3 miles tempo @ 8:07. Felt good, but disappointed with pace. Blame it on the hills. :-D At least I'm getting my workouts in this week, in spite of a tight work schedule. Blockade was moved at Tyson... read more

Another "mental workout" for me. Busy work schedule meant I had to run immediately after work, not my preferred mode. Weather was gray and blustery as well. Moments of "zen running&q... read more

This one was more mental than physical. <whine>But I ran a half-marathon yesterday!</whine> Still, I am making some pleasantly surprising gains.

  17. I could not be more proud of my dailymile brothers and sisters. Seems to me that Straw Plains did not know what hit it! :-D OO-RAH!

what's funny is I ran about 3-4 miles w/ a friend from college and during our talks she made the comment that "the Straw Plains half wasn't a race to PR at" ... HA! I say! Beat mine by 4:29

Looks like my official "beat" is 4:10. But in fairness, my only other half is the Knoxville half, which is the hardest one in the world, I'm told. ;-)

Lots and lots of folks PR'ed yesterday, that was awesome. I purpously seek out really flat courses to PR, so I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt I wouldn't yesterday (5 minutes slower than my PR), but I was so stoked to come in under 2 hours on a tough course like that. Can't wait to do it again at the CHKM 1/2 in a few!

I have set a high bar for myself, as now I feel like I want to PR @ CHKM, and that course is tougher. :-|
