good Last 20 before Boston! 20 mi 02:49 08:27 pace

Jumping back in here with an update. Did my last 20 miler before Boston yesterday, and it was a relative success! My hip held up great...to the point it really wasn't a factor in the run. (I avoided the hills to give it a break). I was really tired in the middle of the run and kept finding myself slowing down and taking silly 5-10 second breaks to clear my nose or grab a fruit chew or change my play list. Last 3 miles I started getting cold as the trail got windier (I'd taken my gloves and jacket off and didn't want to stop to put them back on), so I put Fight Song on repeat and just gritted it out. Last two miles were 8:10 and 7:49 and I felt 100% spent when I was done. Felt a little sick to my stomach too. But then about an hour later, I got some snail mail love from the BAA-- runner's passport and final info. That was a fun little reward for making it through my last 20! Really getting exciting for the big day!
