Warmed up for 2 miles and felt good. Tackled the first mile at 7:24 (didn't feel that fast), then slowed down to average 7:50 for the middle 4 miles, last mile was almost entirely downhill (a bit of a cheat on a tempo run) and finished at 7:19. My shuffle malfunctioned 1 1/2 miles in, which was a bummer b/c it meant I had to listen to myself sucking wind instead of zippy tunes, but it started working again in mile 4, just in time for me to cruise the downhill finish. I was supposed to target a 7:53 mile, which I think I would've been closer to without the downhill boost at the end.
