I just spent about 15 minutes stretching and I'm going to try and make it a nightly habit. Tried a yoga video but the lady annoyed me, plus I couldn't "relax" with the dog right-in-my-face...literally. I'd look up and her nose would be two inches from me. She's a creeper and likes to stare. Any recommendations on how to loosen up a tight hamstring? I know basic stretches but they don't seem to help. It's been bothering me since my knee problem. I'm sure it's all related. Anywho...I'm off to eat some Cheetos, it's after nine so it's okay!

Nothing counts after 9! I like that rule! I am notorious for not stretching AT ALL! I tried to do P90X yoga once, got distracted, and have never tried again because it it literally an hour or an hour and a half! I am sure someone will have suggestions!

Too funny!! I usually have a cat or two rubbing up to me while I'm doing my planks - so I understand your frustration :) I've heard that foam rollers work wonders - have you tried that on your hamstring??

You are so damn funny Jen (lady annoyed, dog in the face, after nine...). By the way,I polished off 1 large back of Doritos Salsa Verde chips in two days -- that's 1680 calories for anyone keeping score. As for the hamstring it could be a couple of possiblities depending on how it feels (1) lactic acid (will pass in 2-3 days) (2) healing adhesions from a prior strain (gentle stretching and massage). I think gentle stretch after exercise, some yoga and breathing and MASSAGE would be the best course.

Gulp... actually NOT and I chased them down with Kirkland English toffee from Costco (should be a food group). Ok, next time I'm looking for CAKE flavored Doritos, but only after nine I promise...

Last week, I had a lunch of those honey bbq fritos, chased down with a gas station cappuccino for lunch. That was before I knew about the 9:00 rule...I won't make that mistake again.

My work lunch usually consists of Cherry Pepsi, chewy Sprees and the closest thing chocolate. In reality I should be 300 pounds.

Yes....gas station cappuccino is really bad stuff. Every once in a while, I get a craving. I can only put about 1/3 of that in my mug and fill the rest with regular coffee. No way I could drink it straight!
