Morning Commute. Light snow, but not not very cold. More of a spring snow. Even the birds were singing.

Commute Home. 3 riders in the commuter convoy.

Uninterrupted ride up Ash Canyon. Snow was not deep enough to stop forward momentum. Got in a killer singletrack ride!

Ash Canyon Singletrack - 2/5/10. We had FULL SUN today! It's been a long time.

Great photo, Jeff! I'd love to be on that trail, either running or cycling! Thanks for sharing!

If you climbed to the pointy peak in the middle, you'd be able to look down on Lake Tahoe on the other side!

      ...and climb...and climb...and climb...and climb...and climb

Sounds easy enough. We should be able to make the loop by maybe Memorial Day? But I ain't climbing That road!

Singletrack loop up in Ash Canyon. Devised a route that kept us out of the snow and mud. Sunny and near 50 degrees out! My skin is still tingling from the sun. Feels great.

Up the old trail just south of Jackrabbit near the wall, cut over to the water tower, take the old steep singletrack that connects to postal just before you reach the water tower.

Morning Commute. Nice ride in a couple hours after the rain stopped.

What a nice way to commute to work! Would love to be able to do that here, but I would be road kill for certain the way they drive around here.

We have it pretty good here. Our city's population is around 57K, only a few miles across, flat, and very grid like so you can bypass the main roads. Not perfect yet, but we're working on it!

I'd love to do that here, Jeff! I've looked at alternate routes, but they all go part way on a crazy, busy, dangerous 6-lane road! You are so lucky to have a more bike-friendly environment!

We hope to be an official Bike Friendly Community (League of American Bicyclists designation) by the end of the year! We're just starting the process to see if we qualify.

Ash Canyon Exploration - 2/4/10. Still a lot of snow where there is not direct sun. Walked quite a bit, but still got some good riding in.
