Thans Annemieke! I'm still waiting for the official results to be posted but it should be between 8:06 and 8:21 by my calculations. In either case, I'm very happy with the day's run!

Love seeing your speed, I had no idea! That is my goal as well, to run 8:10-8:30 per mile for my Summer Scamper 5K in June :)

Jennifer
Hi! :) Curious what you add to your running regimen to add speed to your races? I am currently doing core work and strength training my legs...

Annemieke, I noticed your core work and thought I should add that to my workouts! I bicycle to work once a week on a 35lb bike so that corresponds roughly to your strength training. I do some strides at the end of a run for about 10 to 25 feet times 3 or 4 or more if I'm feeling good. But no other speed specific training.
