Beautiful morning, slightly chilly but the good spring-like chilly and not winter chill. (Yeah, yeah... most people across the country would probably think my desert chilly morning is pretty warm, but it's all relative!) Nice, relaxed run. Made me ex... read more

Yay! Glad you got out and about, and I know what you mean about Sping chill vs Winter chill... I feel the same way.

You can send that slightly-chilly weather to me by Fed-Ex to Chicago, Jill. I'd accept it with my compliments. LOL. Nice recovery run.

Brian, I've told Terri this before... if I knew how to package up my warm weather I'd ship it to you! :-)

This week I kicked up the speed a little and added a little more distance to two days. This is interesting because I really feel a greater awareness in how my foot hits the ground the more I practice this, even when I'm outside running with shoes.

LOL! That's funny... And after my next half or full marathon I'll tell people I trained for it by running a quarter mile at a time. ;-)

There was a fire at a nature sanctuary near my house this morning, over 200 exotic birds were killed in the fire. I run past this place frequently while running. I resisted the urge to run past it today since there were lots of "official" ve... read more

Heal and rest up, Jill. Terrible news about the sanctuary fire.

Nice easy run on a beautiful sunny day. It will probably be a few more weeks and it will start to feel too warm to run right after work, so for now I'm relishing the perfect weather!

It's a beautiful day out... so the run should have been great. I got an annoying email right before I headed out and then I kept stewing over things the whole run, so by the time I finished I was more stressed than when I started. But at least I feel ... read more

At least you didn't let it stop you from running.

Don't let the bastards get you down, Jill. John Wayne wrote that to Barbara Walters when she was struggling in her career in the 70's.

Chris: I actually do have a pair of Free Everydays... I may get the latest version of the Free. I like wearing them for short runs outside, plus I actually like them for "fashion" purposes, they're more comfortable than the old Skechers I used to wear for casual wear.

Beautiful day outside... but it brought a lot of other people out too. Thuggy teens and smokers in their yards. Yuck... Oh well, I was running and they weren't!

Took a quick thinking break... and a break to gauge the weather for my run later on!

Was starving so I ate dinner instead of running. Pushed my run to tomorrow and instead went on a nice meditative walk after eating.

Another windy afternoon, but the sun finally came out just before I ran!
