Maybe we can just do weight training on Saturday? That way we have a workout, but it isn't cardio and our legs can rest.

It appears the new USMC Min run time is 15:00 flat so I missed it by 5 seconds. Some of these crazy youngsters are running it in 9 minutes... oh this 27 y/o has a long way to go.

I have found that the best way to shave off time (although that will happen gradually over time!) is to run a greater distance but run it slowly. When you go back to the distance you have in mind, you will be faster (unless your legs are tired!).

You are so very true. I definitely think I will stick to your philosophy. Finally made my time for 1.5 acceptable so new goal: 3 miles by the end of Jan.
