Nike Frees are light weight and flexible. Although a far cry from barefoot, it does give a different feel than regular running shoes. For some reason the stretchy material it is made out of makes it a little tight on my foot and I get blisters quicker :( So I only use them for shorter (90 mins or less) runs. They are so comfy that I use them as my everyday shoes.

I did notice the tightness of the shoe, although it didn't bother me too much today. I rarely run more than 90 minutes, haha, but i'll see how they fare for me on a longer run.

Nike Frees are no where close to barefoot. I ran two marathons in them and they just do not work out for me. They cause me to blister early on. But they are so light and feel great that I love them as every day shoes! I still do short run in them.
I have the Feelmax Niesas and those are fantastic. I am not a fan of VFF. I do not like the styling and the fitting around the toes.

The Frees are great. I got mine last month and I've already got about 400miles on them. They are a minimalist running shoe but definitely not the "barefoot" experience. They still have a heel but it's definitely not a huge heel like some motion control/stability shoes. They are very light and I find that I get more flexibility in them. They may turn you into a forefoot/midfoot strike runner and they don't have a lot of cushioning there so it may be painful to adjust but I think they're great!

Thanks for the tips. Maybe these Frees can be a transition shoe into the Feelmax Osmas (if i can ever get them in my size). I definitely need to stay off my heel. It's apparent when I run half-marathons.
