      my guess, since this is your first marathon, is simple nerve compression from the race. give it a little time and you should be ok.

      Try rolling the bottom of your foot on a golf or tennis ball; use a foam roller to roll out tension in the hamstrings and ITBs? I have problems with sciatica and this helps me a lot.

    My first marathon! Did NOT train properly but somehow happy im not super sore or even injured. The course was amazing, glad I picked this one to be my first marathon =)

    I finished! Woohoo! Course was thru the forest preserve & it was gorgeous! Ran right by the elk pasture. Freezing this morning but warmed up right away. Next up...marathon?

    Didnt have to go to work till 11am but still woke up at my normal time. Went to gym (woohoo!) Just jumped on the elliptical & did some weights. Felt good. =)

    So glad I went to the gym instead of staying in bed watching the Biggest Loser! Had a good light workout on the elliptical & then did some weights. Im sure I'll feel it tomorrow but YEAY!

    It was a gorgeous course- got to run past Soldier Field, McCormick Place, museums, & the Chicago skyline! Chilly start but warmed up. My legs died on me after mile 7 but I finished, woohoo! =)
