My first marathon! Did NOT train properly but somehow finished...so happy im not super sore or even injured. The course was amazing, glad I picked this one to be my first marathon =)

I finished! Woohoo! Course was thru the forest preserve & it was gorgeous! Ran right by the elk pasture. Freezing this morning but warmed up right away. Next up...marathon?

So glad I went to the gym instead of staying in bed watching the Biggest Loser! Had a good light workout on the elliptical & then did some weights. Im sure I'll feel it tomorrow but YEAY!

It was a gorgeous course- got to run past Soldier Field, McCormick Place, museums, & the Chicago skyline! Chilly start but warmed up. My legs died on me after mile 7 but I finished, woohoo! =)

my guess, since this is your first marathon, is simple nerve compression from the race. give it a little time and you should be ok.

Try rolling the bottom of your foot on a golf or tennis ball; use a foam roller to roll out tension in the hamstrings and ITBs? I have problems with sciatica and this helps me a lot.
