This run was WONDERFUL. The weather, however, was not. I thought I was running in post-apocalyptic Munich since the ground was covered in water and mud and there weren't many people in the park. The sky was also completely dark grey. I crossed onto the island in the middle of the Isar River and, since I was the ONLY person, got more and more freaked out and thus basically did a tempo for the mile or so along the Isar. There was a runner behind me for a few minutes before I crossed the bridge so I was like full on sprinting because I was irrationally afraid... I guess I thought he was a zombie or something haha. Seriously, it was creepy out. Then the sun burst through the clouds and it started to rain lightly, which I loved because I had been getting a little overheated. However, the last 5 minutes of this run were a pure, all-out sprint back to my room through an absolute DOWNPOUR of HAIL!! It was pretty painful on my face so I covered my face for a good part of that. Awkward. However, I felt AMAZING!! Only setback... my ankles are weak again since I took such a long break and my Achilles are suuuuper painful. Also, it probably didn't help that I wore 4 inch high wedges for 8 hours last night. (Lol... look at the weather I chose for this run.)
