I managed to avoid "finishes smoking her cigarette right before walking in the gym" and "did her hair and makeup to work out" but couldn't dodge "I snort like a pig when I run." This is why I hate the gym.

Tested out my new Nike Frees on the treadmill. Love them! I don't feel like my feet are fighting my shoes anymore. And nuts to the notion I had in my head that only tiny fast girls could wear light shoes. I can wear them too.

Yowsa. It wasn't so bad out there - just took a lot of time to find pathways and pick my way through the snow. Got some nice straightaways toward the end, though, where I ran my usual pace. Glad I did this today.

I'm using what I call my "modified Higdeon." Moved things around to fit my schedule better, bumped some numbers up and down. If I do well, I'm a genius; Poorly, I'll blame him.

Felt a sharp pain in my right foot RIGHT into the start of the run, but finished anyway. I've had this happen before and turn out to be nothing. Fingers crossed...



The first time I put my Frees on it felt like I was putting on slippers. I love mine!
about 14 hours agoI wore Adidas Copas when I played soccer, and they were little more than leather and cleats. I LOVED those shoes because they were so light and molded to my feet. Why shouldn't my running shoes feel the same way?
