Ugh. If I ever say I want to do this race again, please shoot me. Yes, the scenery is lovely. The hill in Torrey Pines is not. Even though I've run it a few times, I think in a race scenario and running faster than long runs, it just went wrong. The wheels fell off and it took a long time to recover from that hill. But it's done and I've done the second leg of the Triple Crown. Now looking forward to San Diego RnR Marathon.

Great job! It is a fun race. When I did it a couple years ago, the hill at mile 12 got me, it was deceptively long when it continued after turning.

Thanks guys! Yes, Ted, it was fun but the Torrey Pines hill got me more so than the mile 12 hill. Though that one sucked too. This East Coaster still needs to work on San Diego hills!!

There are plenty of good hills around. If you want a view, go up Black Mountain.
