I thought my momentum would be interrupted; it's been a week since I wa... read more

    good powerline 2.46 mi 00:32 13:03 pace

good Powerline with kiddo 2.02 mi 00:32 15:50 pace

Took my six-year-old with me. Upped my run interval a little bit and it was mostly fine. A whole 90 seconds, whee ... a whole 8 minutes total of jogging between walks... but my ankle does have a ... read more

  6. RUN
    good Powerline 1.9 mi 00:30 15:51 pace

I'm getting to be an expert at starting over. I had my gallbladder out and kept trying to go sooner than I should - it really did take six weeks to be able to go without hurting something insi... read more

  7. RUN
    alright Powerline 2.5 mi 00:34 13:38 pace

5 3-minutes. Downer after hitting 5 4-minute jogs and 3+ miles two weeks ago, but not today.

  8. RUN
    blah 2 mi 00:28 14:07 pace

    4 3-minute jogs, feeling bad.

  9. I need a new playlist. Usually riverdance-type music will do it. Lord of the Dance, etc. Right now, though, I need something different. I am not in a light and happy and peppy and positive place. I... read more

I like music like Linkin Park, Nine Inch Nails, AC/DC, Marilyn Manson, etc when I get in those kinds of moods.

Modern Day Moses is more of a spiritual song, but one of absolute favorites, especially when thinking about running injuries as a form of bondage!
I've thought about you the past few weeks because I think I was making progress on my own PF symptoms that I seemed to have developed trying to run in Vibram's FF's.

I was re-reading Chi Running, and a reader testimonial was talking about a landing evenly on the heel, inner ball, and outer ball of the feet, and with a little experimentation was able to dramatically reduce the symptoms.
Thinking about putting the details in a blog, but the book is incredible!

  10. RUN
    blah Powerline 2.76 mi 00:39 13:57 pace

It's hot. The blackberries are ripe, but my stomach rebelled during a walk break when I tried to eat a couple. I hoped a hard run would distract from heartbreak. It didn't. Muscles don&#x... read more

    blah Powerline 2.57 mi 00:37 14:22 pace

That was hard. It's hot. And it turns out it's possible to run and sob at the same time, but not for long. I spent a lot of time taking care of my body this year ... time for it to start ... read more

good River Trail 3.14 mi 00:42 13:30 pace

Back to 5k!! Over three miles!! That's with a lot of walking to warmup/cooldown, and I *used* to do 5k WITHOUT including the WU/CD, but I'm getting there, getting there, getting there! ... read more

  13. RUN
good River Trail 2.94 mi 00:40 13:38 pace

Much better. Flat trail is nice. 4:2 works, though some of them run segments get pretty tough. Guess that's how it should be, though, because it's tough-but-possible. Getting closer to a ... read more

    great Powerline 2.68 mi 00:37 13:48 pace

Got out earlier than usual; it's been warm lately (for the PNW). Glad I did, because I was crazy sweaty. 4:2 jog:walk felt awesome. Was only going to do four intervals to make sure my shins we... read more

Not as much fun to finish up when I couldn't quite keep up the second 3-minute jog segment (3, walk, 5, walk, 3, walk, 5, walk). Hill took it out of me this time. Managed the fives, though th... read more
