it was bound to happen. running around at croom early this morning circa 4 am, a little root i never would have saw and probably had a 1 in 1000 chance of hitting popped up and grabbed me. usually i just fall forward but this time i rolled the heck out of my ankle, twisting it underneath me. i knew immediately my night was probably over, and my first attempt to stand up confirmed it. P-A-I-N.

you guys will love this though - while i was on the ground in the woods, in the dark, writhing in agony, i remembered to pause my garmin. HAH!

the 1 mile walk out was dreadful and i spent the next few hours dozing in the bed of my friend's pickup while they finished up.

here's to RICE, that old runner's friend. oh and i suspect the run streak will come to an end sometime.

hey, you win some, you lose some. i'll be back on my feet in no time.
