Since we are 18 weeks from the Chicago Marathon, I was supposed to start training this week. However, since I am traveling this week, I've decided to do 2 more weeks of running 25 to 30 miles and go with a 16 week marathon training program. It's hard to get quality workouts done on the road, so just getting some easy miles will be more beneficial. I've had a hard time coming up with a training plan this year, sort of stimied on what approach I want to take. I should just get someone to do it for me.
I'm in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, visiting my in-laws. An interesting place to run, I just run 2.5 miles to the ocean and then run up and down the boardwalk a few times. Very tempting because I run past a lot of bars, fudge shops, salt water taffy joints, pizza parlors, and funnel cakes galore. I think I'll go to the arcade now.
