◦  Is it possible to bonk on a 9 mile run? I sure did.
◦  Was fine until mile 7.5 when I got the mother of all side stitches. Had to stop and wait almost 5 minutes for it to go away. It was all downhill after that.
◦  I was two blocks from my home and the world was getting fuzzy, I thought I was going to pass out. If this was a race I would have DNF'ed.
◦  I believe I was just dehydrated. I tried to drink water periodically, but it just gave me GI issues. Should have drank more yesterday.
◦  I weighed 4 pounds less after this run than I did before.
◦  I can't wait to get to the point where I'm actually in running shape. That's going to be awesome.

Sometimes you just got to get your head down and work through the rough patches, better to do so when training then when actually racing. Great job getting it done!

It happens--probably hydration, of the non-beer (or too much beer variety). I bonked on a three miler this time last year--just a matter of getting used to it.

Definitely hydration. With this weather can happen. Try to drink more of that clear and transparent liquid also known as water.

I've bonked on a 5 mile run before. Hope everything feels better!

Four pounds is a lot of fluid loss - so drink up. And just to clarify, I don't mean beer. It's really hot out, tough conditions. Blame the weather. And good job pushing through, I would have walked starting at 7.5, for sure.

Side stitches are the worst!!!!! I think it is going to take us all a bit to get used to this weather.
