For my upcoming marathon in DC I'm going to try the Galloway method. It may not lead to me finally hitting my goal of a sub 4:30, but I think if I can tinker with the walking and running paces it might work out. But regardless, it should help me avoid any overuse injuries in my foot, and be able to maintain a schedule of long weekend runs, even after the race.

I lied. If I maintained today's average 10:20 pace (I was punching it in the beginning and slowing down in the end miles) I would be at a 4:30:55 marathon. So I think a sub 4:30 is well within my reach. w00t!!
