Really hard run today. We got about 4 inches of snow yesterday, but the temps are right around freezing, so everything was a slushy, slippery mess. I was being pelted by a mix of snow, sleet and rain the whole way. I was planning for 14, but unsure footing, and going down twice made me cut down to 10. Not really sure how I kept the pace I did.
I did notice one thing, though: total mid foot strike without any over stride or long toe off. Whenever I was running straight, no traction problems thanks to a solid foot plant. Instability came whenever turning...
