lol, shorter. :) Trust me on this. I did the same thing after some time off due to bronchitis...did too much mileage and now I'm rehabbing a stress reaction in my tibia.
Since I started running in 2000, I think there were only two winters that I've been able to run through. I don't mind running in cold. I like it actually. But where I live (rural) there are no sidewalks and it's dangerous when the streets are narrowed by snowbanks. I hate treadmills and gyms.
welcome back!!!! Start slower than that buddy LOL. you'll wreck yourself.

thanks! Slower? I can't go slower! The same run was a bit easier this morning.

Ah, yeah, I hear you. I've started up enough times now (!) to know what's too much for me... 4 miles at a 10min/mi pace is safe for me.
And mentally, I can't run much shorter than 4 miles and feel good about it.
Sorry to hear about the injury. Sounds like you're on the mend now and about to be back to 100%?

What happened to knock you out for 6 months?

Winter is responsible for the knock-out. Then getting started again is the hard part.

With 3 and 5 year-olds, I can't afford to get old and slow.
