  1. goodGermany Run #1 8.35 km / 00:44 08:32 pace

First run in Germany! I went out with Le Quan for the first 1.5km then she turned back and I went exploring from there. Lots of running/bike paths and tons of people going to work/school on bikes. Great run!

  2. Looking forward to a little 5k tomorrow to kick off a string of runs in Germany.

  3. goodCCRR Marathon Clinic Mar 14 19.1 km / 01:54 09:38 pace

Lindsey (my nearly six-year-old) called me crazy for going running today. She's probably right on the money. A really strong headwind and driving rain for the first half made me wonder why I wasn't back home in bed. But the second half wasn't unpleasan... read more

  4. good 4.8 km

4 x 1.2k hills repeats. That's 600 metres up the hill on Poplar Plains, then 600m back down, repeated four times. Ran the up side on the first two in about 3 minutes each, then a bit faster for the second two. Good stuff!

  5. good 2.5 km

Short warm up run before the hills repeats. Didn't bother timing it.

  6. goodTuesday Clinic Run Mar 9 8 km / 00:42 08:25 pace

Other than a side stitch that just wouldn't quit between about 3k and 6k, it was a nice, fast tempo Tuesday run. This was the first time I actually got out to run with the Marathon Clinic on a weeknight and having some speedy pacers led to a quick time... read more

  7. goodCCRR Marathon Clinic Mar 7 25.85 km / 02:31 09:25 pace

Biggest run of the year so far, and the longest I've run since last August. It wasn't as warm as promised though - a cold wind off the lake made me glad I opted for pants instead of shorts. But it was a great route, through Harbourfront, Parkdale, High... read more

  8. alright 10 km / 00:57 09:10 pace

Tough slog. I almost gave up and packed it in at 8k, but I don't give up. Ever. The legs were fine, it was a horrible side stitch that just wouldn't quit that had me cursing for the last half of the run. But I finished it and that's a good thing. More ... read more

  9. alright 6 km / 00:34 08:59 pace

I'm not convinced that I didn't pick up a nasty stomach bug from my kid. I got this run in a bit earlier than usual on Tuesday and now I'm feeling not all that great as far as the digestive system is concerned. Oh well...at least I got the run in.

  10. Week six of the marathon clinic is here. On tap: a 6k tempo on Tuesday, 10k tempo on Thursday, and an easy 6k on Saturday to get the legs ready for 26k on Sunday.

Next week the rest of the family is heading north which means I'll actually hit the clin... read more
