  1. RUN
good East End Loop 11.26 km 01:05 09:20 pace

So very hot. I was reminded of why I prefer to do spring marathons instead of fall. By 5km I was already slowing and by 10km, it was just a slog to get up the hill and back home.

There were a coup... read more

  2. RUN
great Run with Lindsey 4.17 km 00:32 12:24 pace

Not the fastest for me, but a run with Lindsey is always a highlight of my day. 4.2km this morning, and she had tons of energy left to kick the last 500m. Can't wait to see this kid rock her f... read more

  3. RUN
great Rosetta McClain Gardens 10km 10.02 km 00:52 08:22 pace

So very hot. I'm enjoying this new route quite a bit, and tonight I extended it from the usual 8km into the park and turned it into a 10km.

I was hoping for some off lake breeze up on the top... read more

  4. RUN
great Edge of the Bluffs 8 km 00:43 08:36 pace

After a two week break for a variety of reasons, it was time to get back out and run again.

8km was a nice distance for a return. Probably would have been happier with about 6km, but then again, i... read more

  5. RUN
blah Toronto Island 7 km 00:38 08:41 pace

Too hot. It was okay at the beginning, but then the sun came out and I wilted. Planned to do 10km (back to where I started) but shut it down at 7km instead of pushing it too much.

  6. RUN
good Beach and Peanut 10.1 km 00:58 09:15 pace

Super warm and humid. Not even a light rain could cool things off tonight. I don't know why I ran - just had a strong desire to get out there.

  7. RUN
great Neighbourhood Exploration 6.37 km 00:32 08:08 pace

Took off after the rain and decided to run some of the streets I've never been down just to the east of where we live. I discovered a hidden little park next to the GO Train line, and a whole ... read more

  8. RUN
good Neighbourhood Loop 5.43 km 00:30 08:52 pace

Evening runs after bad food choices for lunch and dinner? Yeah...not so smart. Did a two km warm up with Lindsey prior to this as well. Still, good to be running regularly again. I missed it.

  9. RUN
great After the Storms 7.35 km 00:40 08:45 pace

Waited out some big time thunderstorms that swept through the city, and then set out to get a nice run in. I was hoping the cold front would have meant cooler temperatures, but it still very muggy ... read more

  10. RUN
great Time Trial 12 km 01:03 08:29 pace

The idea here was to run 10km at a comfortable (aka conversational) pace so the marathon group could be seeded into pace groups with goal times. I ran a couple of extra kilometres with Sean and Ali... read more

  11. RUN
great Valens Trails 5.22 km 00:29 08:50 pace

A little run around the lake at Valens. Lovely! It's a mix of gravel, boardwalk (over water), mowed meadow and pine forest. Not quite as fun as Rouge, because there isn't the elevation ch... read more

  12. RUN
great Variety Village Treadmill 6 km 00:32 08:30 pace

Easy 6km on a Saturday morning. Outside would have been better, but we're all at Variety Village doing our thing so treadmill it was. The watch measured this a bit different than the treadmill... read more

  13. RUN
great Run Commute 13.39 km 01:16 09:09 pace

Nice day to run home. It was a bit busy downtown, and a decent headwind slowed things a bit. On the bright side, I made it the whole way home this time including the long run up the Kingston Road h... read more

I saw you on King just as you were going under the bridge. Must be nice to be able to do the run commute. Especially these days!

I find it tough to get into the groove downtown, but once I get over the DVP...all good. I do wish it was about 8km though. Much more doable on a daily basis.

  14. RUN
great Glen Stewart Trail and Kew Beach 6.46 km 00:33 08:09 pace

Didn't really have a route in mind when I left and quickly decided to do the little trail section down into the Glen Stewart Ravine. It's short, but sweet. There was a bit of mist in the ... read more

  15. RUN
    great 2km Loop 2.03 km 00:14:38 11:36 pace

An evening 2km with Lindsey who will be running her first 5km in August. We ran 5 and 1's at a pretty decent pace for a 10-year-old.

  16. RUN
great Mt. Pleasant, Beltline, Casa ... 16.2 km 01:33 09:16 pace

Nice run, beautiful weather and a few new faces. Run up Mt. Pleasant (dumb) and then the Beltline (busy and lovely), then Casa Loma and Forest Hill Village (quite nice) then down Bay to the store.

Nice run. Felt really good today and the 620 is now perfectly calibrated.

  18. RUN
great Run Commute 10.24 km 00:52 08:07 pace

Too hot...I hate to even say that. Called it done at 10.5km partly because of the heat, but mostly to get home in time to shower and get the kids. I'll be doing this more often this year for s... read more

  19. RUN
great Variety Village Treadmill 5 km 00:22 07:12 pace

Kicked up the pace tonight now that I'm less worried about maybe pushing things too much and tweaking something. This is going to be the summer of speed, I think. Shorter runs, much faster pace.

  20. RUN
great Beach to the Flag 10km 10.17 km 00:49 07:46 pace

The usual route except I haven't run this in forever. Finally the decent running weather is back and I can get down to the lake again. I do love living here. So many people out running, walkin... read more
