  2. RUN
    blah 1 mi 00:11:45 11:45 pace

I wasn't feeling it today, told myself "just do one mile, you'll feel better."
I guess I feel better now that it's over. LOL!

  9. FIT
    good 00:30

    Cross-training FOR THE WIN.

  10. RUN
    great 3 mi 00:34 11:29 pace

Took inspiration from my cousin and ran two miles without stopping to walk. I usually walk when I feel the need, especially this early in training. Does endurance = eventual speed?

way to go! as for speed- i think running faster (even for really short distances) builds speed over time. running fast uses muscles differently and requires changes in breathing and your mental toughness. over the course of a year I got a bit faster, but nothing significant or near to my goal though.

How'd the puppy do - mine used to run all around me, it took a while for her to learn to stay out of the way!

She did pretty well. Probably the best I've seen her on a leash. She doesn't do well with walks because she always wants to sprint ahead of you... so I guess this was right up her alley!
