    Upper body wants to die. After pushups, planks, and dips (oh my!) at last night's derby practice I did a full upper body circuit. Yeah. I'm a glutton for punishment.

      You will improve and you will get there. Maybe try setting a time to run like 4 min run harder, 1 min. walk. It will break the run up and then you can move it to 9/1. You can look forward to your walk break and build your running endurance at the same time.

      I can pretty consistently run s-l-o-w-l-y for about 4 miles. I really want to get faster, and we live in such an instant gratification world that it's difficult to just take it slow.
