  5. Any suggestions on where to start for a marathon training plan? I've committed to running my first marathon in Jan 2014 and wanted to get a headstart on putting together my training plan.

Never done a full, but I used Hal Higdon for my 1/2 last year. I plan on using one of his programs again for my next one this fall. I've also read some good things about FIRST, but don't have any personal experience there. Good luck!

I was thinking Galloway, since I used him for my last two half marathons. I recently started reading the blog on RunnersConnect. It's a paid service to do the personalized training plan and be able to utilize the community/forums. So we will see. I'm on the 14 day trial period.

I was part of a charity team for my first full and they gave us coaching as part of the program. It was really great to have a group not just for the training plan but to have someone to run 17 miles with me.
And YAY for you! Congrats on committing to running a full marathon! Which one are you doing?
