  1. FIT
    good Dumbells 00:15:00

Quick at-home weights session with 8 lb dumbbells: 2 circuits of 12-15 reps of every exercise I could think of, mostly upper body, but also squats and lunges.

  2. FIT
    alright BodyPump 01:00

Not really feeling it today, tummy so-so and a fairly boring old release.

  3. VELO
good Stationary bike 7.1 mi 00:26 16.4mph pace

Calves still sore so chose bike over treadmill; 10 x 1 min intervals. 2900 feet gain.

  4. FIT
good Wapama Falls 4.62 mi 02:30 32:28 pace

Tuelala falls is dry but Wapama runs, large and multi-channeled but nothing like its fearsome spring gush. Hetch Hetchy is beautiful even in this strange mid-winter sunny dryness, but the mood is a... read more

  5. FIT
good Upper Yosemite Falls & Yosemi... 8.5 mi 07:00 49:24 pace

What was supposed to be a snow trip to Yosemite ended up a hiking trip in unseasonably warm temperatures and blazing sun. Only our second time ever climbing Upper Yosemite Falls, and this time we a... read more

Temps were freakishly warm for January in the mountains - most of the day upper 60s, even at almost 7000 feet or descending at dusk it didn't feel cold...

  6. walk
    good Yosemite village/meadows and ... 3 mi 01:30 30:00 pace

Walking around after arriving in Yosemite Valley Sat afternoon. Pretty sunset colors and North Dome and Half Dome.

  7. RUN
good Evening hill 3.59 mi 00:37 10:12 pace

Caught the last bit of light and made a mini hill workout of it, with 6 x irregular uphill intervals to the top of Mt Olympus and some faster running on the downhills.

  8. FIT
    good Iyengar yoga 01:00

Inversions: shoulder stand, plow, a twist, supported bridge

  9. FIT
    good BodyPump 01:00

Goodbye release 92. Look forward to something different next week.

  10. VELO
good Stationary bike intervals 9.89 mi 00:35 17.0mph pace

8 x 1 min hard intervals then 8 (harder) Tabatas. About 3800 feet.

  11. FIT
    good BodyFlow 00:50

Wish this class or similar was offered at other times that fit my schedule... I like it the best of all the yoga-ish offerings - challenging and thorough yet time-efficient. The instructor, Kimi, i... read more

  12. FIT
    good Integrated yoga 01:15

All twists, and hamstring/quad stretches, so perfect for post-run even if not especially vigorous.

  13. RUN
    good GGP-Lincoln 6.2 mi 01:04 10:19 pace

Tried running along MLK but it was spooky alone, so retreated to Lincoln and toughed out a tedious nighttime street run. But, still better than the treadmill.

  14. FIT
    good Pilates mat 01:00

New move - fire hydrants - 36 pulses on each side... ouch, but a nice change from sidelines...

  15. FIT
    good BodyPump 01:00

Last week of release 92 and it will be good riddance. Pulled something in right shoulder early on so some discomfort. The songs have grown on me though: Phoenix/Come with me now/Chandelier...

  16. RUN
good Treadmill intervals 1.6 mi 00:15:00 09:22 pace

Really just a short warmup before pump, but included 4 intervals in the 8:00-8:34 range. 1% grade.

  17. FIT
    good Windy Hill counter-clockwise 6.44 mi 03:00 27:57 pace

Funny how different a loop trail feels if you go the opposite direction from the usual...

  18. FIT
good Heffalump (Coal Mine Ridge tr... 4.53 mi 02:00 26:29 pace

A little recovery hike. Legs and hips definitely weary from yesterday.

  19. FIT
good Mt Tam clockwise 9.54 mi 04:00 25:09 pace

Epic northern approach to East Peak from Bootjack led by Hugh B. with Kat, Christina J. and Claudine C. Super fun to check out some new to us trails in good company!

    • Hugh B.

Point to point was fun but if you ever want to do this on your own it's only a few miles back to Bootjack and all downhill.
