  1. RUN
good TM and season two of The Wire 12 mi 01:54 09:27 pace

I have a long run tomorrow and I am still a bit stiff from Wednesday, so I took this one really easy, average HR 113. I like the TM for the control it gives. And the TeeVee :-)

  2. RUN
alright Cross County Trail to Little ... 12.14 mi 01:48 08:54 pace

My magic watch said that my recovery from yesterday's speed work was only fair. I'd say that was accurate. I am fairly stiff and sore. Still, this was a good run and I had a hard time kee... read more

  3. RUN
good Repeat miles on the trail. 13.12 mi 01:46 08:04 pace

3 and a bit warm up with strides. Six times a mile with about a minute recovery, 3 and a bit warm down. My magic watch is too complex for me to work out how fast these miles were, but I think they ... read more

  4. RUN
good Reston to Great Falls on the CCT 12.36 mi 02:02 09:52 pace

Running in Larry H's stomping grounds. I don't do much real trail running (single track sort of stuff) so this was a fun change. I got tired.

  5. RUN
great Cross County Trail to Little ... 12.24 mi 01:49 08:52 pace

Maybe it was just the cool, dry weather but I feel like this was a breakthrough workout. I just felt good. And the pace was a bit faster at a given heart rate, too. Fingers crossed for continued im... read more

  6. RUN
good Cross County Trail to Little ... 12.24 mi 01:52 09:08 pace

Bounced back nicely after yesterday's long run. Ran into buddy Mike and we had a nice few miles of BS to share. Life is good.

  7. RUN
good Burke lake and that other lake 22 mi 03:26 09:22 pace

Not a bad jog. A bit cold though. But it kept the dog walkers to a minimum, so that's a plus!

  8. RUN
good TM and The Wire, season 2 12 mi 01:56 09:39 pace

I got a late start and it was chilly out, so I took advantage of my mechanical bull and got it done. Stayed within the proper zone and everything went smoothly.

Ran to the post office and then out to the same old run I always do. I'm in such a rut :-)

good Lost in the wilds of Reston, VA 12.65 mi 02:00 09:28 pace

I always wonder about "helpful citizens". What if they're actually evil, and sending us off in the wrong direction (up hills!) just for fun?

I really like it. I am often confused by tech stuff and this was no different, but my brother talked me through it and I seem to be able to push the right buttons at the right times. I especially like the huge numbers! Old people problems.

Yeah, after a windstorm or rowdy kids, I pick up the trash cans around Greenlake. Interestingly, whenever I do it, someone else will always step up to help.
