Saturday's long run was postponed until this morning. Felt great other than th IT band acting up again. Gotta do something about that!

At least you got in a lovely long run. Hopefully your IT band problem gets solved! I hate running injuries...

You might need to get some K T tape. That could help you with your IT band. It does wonders for mine. Nice long run by the way.

I went to a physical therapist for my IT band. He had me change my cadence so that my feet hit the ground between 170-180 times per minute. It seriously cured me. Nearly instantly. Check your cadence and see if this helps you!

I have some KT Tape, so I'll try it on my next long run. That's really the only time it bothers me =(

And Becky, did that speed up or slow down your cadence? It seems like it hurts less when I'm running faster. By the time it starts hurting though, running faster isn't really what I feel like trying to do.

It sped me up! And it makes me run a bit more on my toes so that I don't irritate that dumb band of tissues. But, if you take smaller steps you can still run at your regular pace. I'm still learning that part though. But seriously--no issues with my IT band once I made the switch.

Great long run. I'm sure that you are doing everything you are supposed to for the IT Band, but Jason Fitzgerald has a great rehab routine. http://goo.gl/IECXC I think it is wonderful.
