good Mt Ainslie Canberra 01:45
Not sure how far this was but with family in hand worked our way up the tracks with a bit of trail blazing thrown in to get to the top. Cleaned out the cobwebs.

RUN
blah Up the hill 6 km 01:00 16:05 pace
Walk/run - not so great - new shoes and now sporting a nice blister on my heel and knee is still playing up. I can see this is going to be a struggle...

walk
good Mt. Rogers 8.5 km 01:40 18:56 pace

RUN
alright Run/Walk up the hill 5 km 40:00
Well for the first time back I wasn't too upset with it. Pretty much lost all of the running ability (which was pretty lame mind you) from 9 months ago. Very humid and could have had a bath in... read more

Nice Job:
Great work! The important thing is that you are back at it!!! Take it slow and easy. It is better to start over and work your way back. I injured my hamstring after a long break because I did not heed that advice.

Haha, Frank I'd go with the first option - RUN! ;)
Hey guys, thanks. I'm itching to go for a run but they reckon we have 8 days of rain and so far it looks to be on the money. So Krav fills in the holes. The upside is the calf feels pretty much healed for the time off. Havagoodun everyone and stay safe :)about 1 year ago • Like

Yep it's good fun and nice to have up your sleeve if you need it. 'Real world' - haha yeah think day to day items - basically anything that will help keep the knife or attacker away from you - chairs, bins, notebooks - the key being to know what's around you and use it if you get the chance.

So it's been almost a week since I got taken out with this calf injury. Limped my way through Krav (well I babied it as much as I could) and I think it's ready for atleast a decent walk i... read more

Thanks all! Well, I'd planned on going tonight but by the time I got home it went from a light drizzle to a steady rain....yeh, so I bailed :/ oh well extra day won't hurt I guess but I'm thinking the longer I leave it the harder it's going to be to reclaim lost ground. Oh yeah Winda, add your procrastination with my apathy and we've got a real winning team! ;)

It's Self Defence training - Monday is fight skills and Wednesday is technical skills. Fight skills is about punching and kicking defence/counters in various ways and Technical skills is defending/countering chokes/sticks/knives etc. Both nights have sparing and stress situations (multiple attackers on 1 defender) to put you under pressure usually after you're physically fatigued. Hence why I consider it a workout - pretty much buggered after it :) That's the gist of it - not much room to expand here...

Well that's it I guess guys, next Tuesday my joint and Winda bring your new socks, we'll give Jaime's tip a work out. Marcy and Tina we'll be falling back on you for the finer points given your familiarity. Sarah you can supply your bountiful enthusiasm to kick us off. Tami bring your 16 year old - we can put them together and they can pout in the corner while we all rock da house.
