So, after a wonderful weekend of hiking with my sweet wife I have severely sabotaged myself. I have had way too much soda and other junk and my lungs and stomach have paid the price. My legs were wanting to run faster but my dinner and other junk food kept sending nauseous waves of indigestion up into the back of my throat. I thought I was going to puke a couple of times. I figured that this run was going to suck no matter what I do so I ought to at least let my legs decide the pace. And so I turned it up gradually and finished the last half mile at 8.00 pace. It felt good on my legs but the fire in my throat put a bit of a damper on the run. Oh well, at least I got it done right? Anyway, no more sodas for me until after my next race and no more peach cobbler before a run.


Mmm, but peach cobbler is soo good! Great pace for an upset stomach!
