After waking up and feeling tired, sluggish, like I had run to the Asia and back, I had decided in my mind for a rest day. When I called my coach the conversation went something like this:
him: "Hollie, you've run 90+ miles, of course your legs are going to be tired, you aren't God. Your legs are doing exactly what they are supposed too and I would rather they be tired now then the day before your XC race (in two weeks)"
me: "I don't like where this is going...I'm just going to assume you would advise nay on the rest day"
So I just ran without a watch. The weather was nice and it was enjoyable once I got out there. I'm excited for one last hoorah with the DMer's tomorrow. I know I will PR in the mile since the last time I ran a mile legit on the track for time was in high school gym class when I ran a mile 12:12. Other then that my fastest mile splits all come from 5ks and mile repeats on grass.

Keep it up. Tired legs now, after rest, are strong legs in a race.

@Mark-that is what he said too. It's hard to think that far in advance though. LOL

I'm so sorry you didn't get the rest day! I think you earned it!!! You only have to run a few tomorrow so that's good! Unless you go for more, which you would never do!
