  1. VELO
    good 6.13 km

    Rode to/from yoga practice.

  2. FIT
    good 01:00

During this practice, I tried re-positioning my hands during downward dog, and my right wrist wasn't particularly fond of it at the end.

  3. RUN
great Point Grey track 5.26 km

First visit to Point Grey track in a long time. Main workout was 6 x 400 @ 1:45-1:50 with 1:30 recoveries. First one was slightly over, but the rest were spot on.

  4. RUN
    good treadmill 2.72 mi 00:30 11:01 pace

I still don't like running on the treadmill.

  5. NEW BLOG POST – Training update: 5 weeks to 5k. Feedback is welcome on the training schedule I also posted. http://wp.me/paiwe-uA

  6. RUN
    good 8.27 km

Five weeks to the @scotiahalf 5 km starts today with a 2 x mile tempo. After taking the 1st 400 a little too quickly, I settled down and finished the rest around 2:10-2:11/lap (5:23/km or 8:40/mi).

  7. FIT
    good 01:00

Given the eventful week I've had, a nice practice is a good way to end it :)

  8. RUN
    good 7.58 km

Despite my cold, I went on my first speedy run since the race. It felt good to add some speed again. I'll definitely need it as I'm 5 weeks away from a 5k.

  9. RUN
    alright 5.79 km

Maybe it's the nasal congestion when I woke up this morning, but I did feel a little better after the run than when I did when I started. And I avoided the incoming rain, which is a bonus :)

  10. RUN
    good 10.56 km

Another easy run. It was humid this morning.

  11. Race report – 2013 BMO Vancouver Half Marathon: http://wp.me/paiwe-uh

  12. walk

Walked to the advanced voting place and back home.

  13. RUN
    good 6.21 km

Short, easy run in which I tested a new pair of minimalist shoes.

  14. RUN
good BMO Vancouver Half Marathon 21.1 km 01:59 09:04 pace

#ranvan half! Official chip time: 1:59:02. It was warm right from the start, so I'm happy I met my goal to go under 2:00 given the conditions.

  15. RUN
    alright 4.85 km

One last run before the @bmovanmarathon half. Nice, easy, and watchless, it included a coffee break in the middle.

I'm glad that I got to this point, given the new training method I tried thi... read more

  16. RUN
    good 9.21 km

Main workout is 6 x 400 with equal recoveries. I didn't go too hard, but still managed some fast lap times.

  17. RUN
    good 7.3 km

Brutally windy conditions made it difficult to run, but I came close to goal race pace. Hoping it's not as breezy on race day :)

  18. RUN
    good 12.65 km

One last long run before next week's race. 10.8 km at an average of 5:45/km, which is just under my goal pace. I was overcautious by donning the rain jacket, but the worst of the weather had a... read more

  19. RUN
    great 9.93 km

Intervals of 5 x 1000 with 400 recoveries. I thought my legs were tired until I saw the first split time. In all, I averaged 5:05 per lap (8:11/mi) with very consistent split times.

    I definitely e... read more
