A quick 2 miler down at Crissy Field.
While it's not horrifically sexy or exciting, I think I'm on the right track with my base-building venture. I'm, what, a week or two in, keeping the mileage at 2mi a run, 5x a week. On Sunday I'll tack another mile on my run, do that for a couple weeks, and basically increase by 1 mile every 2 weeks. Slow and steady, and so far so good.
I also think the Vibram running has changed my form up a bit, and for the better. Definitely landing more solidly on my forefoot/pad, not that I ever was much of a heel-striker.
PS: I effing hate rainy SF weather.

Good to hear about your form changing - does it feel better? What's the weather like in the marina? It's great out here in Soma!
about 1 month agoI will take your rainy weather trade you with my snowy weather...
about 1 month agoawesome run! i'm glad you're liking the VFFs...
about 1 month agoKathy—it sucks ass (pardon my French). Overcast, cold, drizzly/rainy. Hate. Oy.
about 1 month agoEmily—no lie. I know I'm a total weather wuss. But I grew up in Chicago and paid my dues. Bad San Francisco weather is put-on-shorts-and-ride-a-bike weather in Chicago. But I fled for a reason. (And pardon my whining :D)
What's up Jenna McAwesome? Did you enjoy los Bowl del Super yesterday? What's new? (I reckon this kind of dialog is what twitter's for, but what the hell, right?)
about 1 month agoNice run, smart to keep it slow and easy at first.
