I think I'm getting the hang of the Vibrams. I was able to start up extremely comfortably and keep in time with "Interstate Love Song" with ease. I knocked about a minute off my pace, too, which I didn't expect.
Good times. Me gusto.

Nice run, John. I love running in the Vibrams.
about 1 month agoDid you really trademark that name?
about 1 month agoQuestion for you guys: if you run with forefoot strike and not heel strike in neutral shoes, would that be similar to wearing Vibrams? If not, what about wearing flats?
about 1 month agoNice John. Are you now running exclusively in the VFF's?
about 1 month agoStu, I'm no expert, but I'm not a heel striker to begin with, and the VFFs are a *very big* change from normal shoes. I notice now that I'm (I I'd be we all are) very sloppy and careless with our feet when we run in normal shoes. And it gives us the luxury to do so. You just can't do that with Vibrams. So, maybe a forefoot striker would have an easier transition to barefoot/vibrams, but it's not really the same. Get my drift? (I've never tried flats)
about 1 month agoMichelle—nope, I'm doing 3 runs a week normal, and 2 in Vibrams. It really just kinda happened, but I'm totally digging it.
On that note: why the hell is dailymile having such a hard time retaining my shoe when I select it with a workout? It seems like 88% of the time it doesn't save which shoe I chose. Weird.
about 1 month agoI dig the VFF's as well. A LOT!
about 1 month agoNice running John. Well done.
