As a young girl goes to the bridal chamber, so go I to Crissy Field for my day's run.
I'll let you ponder the possible parallels in this simile for a moment:
excitement?
nervousness?
breathlessness?
partial dread?
Ultimately, the most ribald and salacious parallel comes from the very heavens itself: it was wet out there today, folks. Rainy. Crappy. Blah.
I liked the rain when it was a novel, twice-a-year thing back when I lived in San Diego. People would actually stop working, go outside and look at it come down. It was newsworthy.
Here it just sucks. It's a hot heap of suck.
But I digress. I got my easy run in. Tomorrow's an off day, then a Vibram trot on Saturday and another run on Superbowl Sunday.
¡Felicidades!

Salacious. Fine word. Good run, but fine word.

about 1 month agoKerrie—aye, a good one. I actually only read at the 8th grade level. But I write at the college level, so as a result I usually have no idea what the hell I'm saying.
Sally—think of it this way: you're made of sugar, so you'd probably melt. Right?
Chaz—thank you for sticking with the theme.
