great Turkish Get-Ups & Running

Turkish get-ups will kick your ass.

DROM progression
then 2 rounds of (15 each set):
* overhead squats
* reverse sit-ups
* back extensions
* seated cable row
* push-ups

THE WORKOUT (as prescribed)
Five rounds for time of:
Turkish Get-up, 45 pound barbell, 21 reps
Run 400 meters

Couple things:
1. I ain't doing Turkish get-ups with the barbell. I don't have that kind of room, and I don't have that kind of core strength & stability. Yet.
2. I've never done more than 5 Turkish get-ups in a row, so I opted to do:

THE WORKOUT (my wussified version)
Five rounds for time of:
Turkish Get-up, 20 lb kettlebell, 21 reps
Run 400 meters

I made it through 2 rounds and quit. QUIT! DNF! *sad trombone*

Those mothers are tough, man. Tough!

Afterwards I did 2 rounds, 15 each:
* face pulls with resistance band
* thoracic extensions on the foam roller
* scapula push-ups. gotta give the serratus anterior more love. I hear.

Anyway, that was that.

And how was your day?

    Oh, and it was 12 reps of TGUs each set, not 21. Why? Because it kicked my ass.

    Jaysus...didn't even know people COULD do TGU's with a barbell. Just saw a video. Nuts. You done good.
