  1. walk
    good hill road w/ C25K W1D1 6.65 mi 02:17 20:36 pace

I made the mistakes of venturing out into the woods with bare calves and not checking the weather before I went, but it wasn't so bad after all. When it poured, I took shelter under a church e... read more

  2. walk
good Dog walk up to the hill road 0.55 mi

Found a sort of better connection between the progress so far on our trail through the woods as marked and the road on the hill, but there is a four foot or so bank to climb to get on the road, so ... read more

  3. I've gotten sick (just my typical sinus issues, probably a complication on a cold type virus) and right now just walking to the mailbox leaves me a bit breathless. I don't think I'll... read more

  4. RUN
alright ridge road 2.13 mi 00:43 20:11 pace

All in all it was decent, but it wasn't great. My foot got a bit sore, and part of the time my head felt like it was being pounded at every foot fall.

  5. #dailymission Well okay, I don't usually wear special clothing for running/walking/biking (when I occasionally do that last one), so I typically wear my normal... cotton blend socks. Except wh... read more

The hill at the end of the out part was fairly steep and I didn't even get all the way up it. I did the C25K W1D1 twice, back to back, but I had to walk through the woods at the start to get u... read more

    good C25k W6D1 attempt 1.5 mi 00:23 15:20 pace

I didn't pace myself very well and wasn't dressed in the most suitable of outfits. Seems I have gotten hooked on listening to music while running. I wasn't all worn out, but my eye w... read more

Also, I tend to run _very_ slowly, apparently, but it does allow me to run for longer periods. I guess I figure if I keep building up time I will gradually get faster.

Thanks for the feed back SJ..I was always such an awkward runner that I am concerned that I just won't be able to be a "runner" of any kind. I do have the app for my phone (droid). My spinal cord surgery is April 6th. The doc has told be at least 100 times that I can't do ANYTHING at all for 7 to 10 days (that will kill me). I won't be able to start running until the surgeon says it's ok. Will have to stick to the walking until that time. I really want to do it and am hoping I can. I will keep you posted!

When I started running I counted steps. Run 40 steps, walk 20. It was a baby start. Even today on the long races I allow myself 20 walking steps after 100 steps when I'm really pooped.

This is C25K W5D3. Bit of a stitch in my side, pretty worn out at the moment. I ran the one I missed yesterday.

I can't wait to try the C25k program after my surgery in April. Do you like it?

So far, yes, I like it. I found that even though I was afraid sometimes I'd be unable to do the next interval, the program had built me up to it, and so long as I didn't put mental blocks in front of myself, I've been able to do it. However, my experience doesn't correlate with all reports I've heard--a number of people have found they needed to repeat workouts before they can move on. I think the biggest factors are persistence and cardiovascular fitness. I fell off the wagon a couple times and...

  13. That's why I didn't do my 20 minute run today. Well, stormy weather as in tornados, not the Echo and the Bunnymen song. I'm okay, but some people in the general area aren't, and... read more

  14. walk
    good Kiwi run 1.11 mi

Instead of walking to the grocery store for kiwis or something else, I walked to the pet store and looked around even though I have no pets. I was frustrated with the sock I was trying to crochet.

  15. RUN
    good ~2m. run 1.92 mi 00:34 17:42 pace
