If we're playing the worst race photo game - this just might be mine. So wrong in so many ways. I can't believe I'm going to share it. But I do have to laugh every time I look at it.

I don't know what you're talking about. THAT is a kick a$$ race photo. I dig it like a trench.

Looks fun. I'm thinking about doing Muddy Buddy this year. Not quite the same thing, but the only thing keeping me from signing up is that it backs up against some business travel that's already scheduled. Maybe I'll just do it anyway after seeing your picture...

Me and my running buddies before the race. These are some of the people who have to put up with me every weekend!

    • Brian F. Brian F.

I'm sure they look forward to every weekend :)

I know! Cascade Lakes is awesome, but it's a lot tougher than Hood to Coast. Van #1 has much higher average mileage per person, but van #2 has to deal with some serious heat. But if you're training for a marathon, you should do fine. This is a relay that you do need to train for or you will suffer - much more so than HTC.

The last time I ran the Shamrock 15k was 2001, and I was pretty pleased with my 1:22:32 then, so I was really stoked to run as well as I did today. This is a tough, hilly course - the first 5.5 miles are basically a climb. You can have PBR at mile 8 if... read more

Here's my "ink". Okay, it's a temporary tattoo! But it's for the Shamrock Run tomorrow - a proud symbol of being part of the Red Lizard running club here in Portland. Seeing all the cool tattoos you guys have makes me want some myself!

I know! I'm so jealous! Makes me want to go out and get a tatoo. :) At least there is always the temporary ones!!

Yes, I'm a Lizard, but not a very active one. I take advantage of the track workouts when the schedule works out.

A beautiful spring morning. Legs are feeling a little more lively, so I'm hoping for a decent race tomorrow. Good luck to all who are running today and tomorrow!

Who filled my shoes with lead? I need to liven up these darn legs for my 15k on Sunday. It will be my first race in Brooks ID gear - I can't suck! Today's run definitely qualified as rainy for the challenge. Did 8 x 30 sec @5k pace.

    • Troy F. Troy F.

Have to admit, I was passing through OR, and saw some shoes. Thought, "These look like they need some lead in them." Filled them up and went on my way. Sorry about that... Way to log the miles though!

My legs are still super heavy, and I felt my lack of breakfast by mile 4. It was cold, my iPod was dead...wahhhh. If I wasn't so inspired by all you guys on Dailymile, I know I would have just stayed in bed and slept, so thanks for getting my butt out ... read more

  10. blah 7.5 mi / 01:08 09:04 pace

Included 8 x 8 sec steep hill sprints. Wow. I felt like I had run a marathon this weekend. Didn't really even want to go, but I got out there anyways, and I feel much better now. I guess too much drinking, not enough sleeping and getting my ass hand... read more
