I am so happy with this run! I wasn't sure what to expect coming off of yesterday's marathon pace miles, but the report is very good. Right out the door everything felt loose and I clicked right into my easy run pace. I picked up the pace a little bit in the second half, closing with a marathon pace mile. I spent some time last night mapping out a route that took me through Brunswick, Strongsville, Middleburg Heights and Berea where I caught up with my wife coming out of her yoga class and hitched a ride home. Mixed things up with neighborhoods, parkway, and a little time touring Baldwin Wallace University to wrap things up. Best long run I've had in a long time. Very happy with this training cycle so far.

16oz. of water and a Powerbar got me through the run. 50 miles this week is a personal best, 30 miles in the past two days is also a personal best. Now, it's time to watch the only game this season for which I'll root against the Browns. Go Bengals! http://connect.garmin.com/activity/223436717

    Big miles this week! Congrats on a stellar long run. I can't believe 16 oz of water lasts you 20 miles; I think I go though that much in under an hour of running.

    Those Higdon 30 mile weekends are the best thing about his program - great job nailing this one, I like the strategy on meeting your wife so you could avoid the boring out-and-back.
