Day #1 - Marathon training - tempo run
1 mile easy warm-up, 1.5 miles @8:33 pace, .5 mile cool down
Definitely pushed myself on this one. The easy warm up help shake out heavy legs.
Considering, I just hit my goal in February I think I just need to get faster :)

Ran it as a tempo run. Felt great! The weather was so nice this morning. Cannot wait for more fall weather!
Not as planned. Garmin crapped out on me for the second time this week. I was not able to keep my pace. Not humid just very sunny. Got a little bit of shade. Running long earlier my legs are n... read more
Longest run in a few weeks. Bridle path hills actually did not feel too bad. Must have been all those hills in St. John that helped!
Nice easy 3 mile run. Legs felt a bit heavy.
First run since vacation. Felt odd to run on flat ground! Any little hill seemed so much easier. Well, of course after 18+ miles of hills on vacation they should be!
Very shaded trail, which was needed after a few days at the beach. The beach we hiked down too was gorgeous! Hike was not bad at all, funny though we passed people coming back up that looked like... read more
This mileage was over 7 runs while on vacation. Yes, they were all short. But, the grades of the hills were 25% +. On the down end of the hill you had to be careful or even walk because it was w... read more
Was fighting off a cold. Went out to see what I could do and not to push it too much. The course was overly crowded. However, a friend was taking it easy and paced me for most of the race. Just... read more
First run with Lucy.....what an adventure. Not the best idea to be my first run since my half. Had a bit too much lateral movement and my knee was not happy. Lucy of course wanted to say hello t... read more
Felt great today. Looking forward to my half marathon on Sunday!

A bit windy but nice and sunny out. Loving the weather!
Quite windy and a little chilly. Warmed up for 18 minutes and then did repeats @7:50, 7:56, 8:06. Not the best repeats but the wind was not very nice.
Felt good. Took it easy and did not push anything.
So windy out there. But, did have the wind at my back a little bit. Felt fantastic! Was supposed to be 8 miles, but did not have the time.
Warmed up for almost 19 minutes and then mile repeats @8:10, 7:54, 8:06, 7:58
Not that fun of a run. Just tired and legs blah. Got some blisters and I rarely get those. Weather turned out to be decent in the morning. Which I was happy about that part!
But you got it done. Good for you!
(wish I was running in Central Park today)
