Grrr. That really sucks! OK here's the good news: it will heal eventually. I thought I had a stress fracture in my foot 4 years ago. I had a scan and was diagnosed instead with permanent joint damage. I will never again be able to run without some pain. So - it could be worse? I know it doesn't feel like it now though. Sorry.

Ok, so now you know for sure which is a very good thing. AND you've already been rehabing it with pool running and cycling instead of pounding away until today so you're already on your way. Take care of yourself & that foot! ((hugs))

That sucks, but now that you know what it is you can take the right steps to mend it and return to running in due time. Buck up, Corinna...you'll be back in no time!

I'm definitely going to have to check this one out. We usually make it just over the border (I live on Whidbey in Washington) and have always wanted to do this loop. May have to check it out this summer!

That's a huge bummer. Lot's of water running in your future! When I was doing that I would try to go when family swim was happening so there was some form of entertainment.

Great attitude! In the scheme of things, 2 months is just a speed bump & it will be just a short memory as you look back of this year's running. I hope there are some other things you can do (like rowing? stair machines? indoor cycling?) to mix things up.
