Been many weeks since I've done a tempo run, so pushed this one up to 4 miles. Felt tired and achy starting out (actually, was hoping my son was up so I could use it as an excuse), but loosened up pretty quickly with a 7:20 first mile. 2 miles warmup (second at 7:12), then 4 mile tempo (6:33, 6:24, 6:19, 6:12), then 1.7 miles cool-down. Beat my pace goals for each split by 1-3 seconds, happy with how it felt. Great conditions today, supposed to get hot later but just a one-day blip, the outlook for the weekend should make for a good long run, for once. Only concern is I have had a strange popping in my left knee late in my last two runs, tweaked something at the gym yesterday. Will have to keep an eye on it. http://connect.garmin.com/activity/42148653
