Originally planned to get out predawn this morning, but predawn son - awake before 4:00 - had other plans. Was still able to knock out (semi-interrupted) a Poseidon general strength and Bia hip routine - picture a supercharged Myrtl routine.
Went out for a lunch run from the Strongsville office, not my favorite place to run from but once you get out of the industrial park it's a nice residential loop. All felt as it should, the weather was damp/misty and chilly as it should be for fall. Did a new Hephaestus warm-up, a bit shorter than I usually do but fine for today.
Only issue was that the Lunarfly's felt like clodhoppers. Will just try to burn up the mileage on them over the next few months.

Half the time I am not really sure what you're doing in your workout's here. Are you just throwing in Greek gods to mess with us? Haha :) Nice miles and pace today! Bet it feels nice to run again!

what's up with this kid getting up before 4am? You should up the sleep drugs.

Greg, what is your plan now? Just run and have fun for the remainder of the year?

Right back at it! I bet that week off was tough!

@Brie - no, I'm not making it up - will write a more formal review in a few weeks but info is here - http://predawnrunner.com/rc-strength
@Daniel - he does take sleep medicine, actually, but we find giving more usually causes him to get up earlier.
@David, no short-term goals, training to do big things in the spring, will write more up shortly.

Yes indeed--welcome back. Really glad to hear everything is in order. I step back into the waters tomorrow. Have almost a butterfly-in-the-stomach feeling about it and not sure why. Will use your non-eventful return as reassurance. :-)

I've never run in clodhoppers, but I'm sure if anyone could do it, it would be you.

It's fitting that your return to the road after your deserved recovery/rest comes while at Strongsville. I understand it's a real place, but it sounds all-too-fitting for how your training, as well as your recent performance, shook out...STRONG! Good lunchrun!

Nice Hemera (that's the goddess of daylight) run! Nice to see you back out there with everything intact after the cracking race and the week off! Going to get into this strength thing seriously myself. Honest.
