Post-Massage Errand Run 5 mi

Had a carefully calibrated plan to get my sports massage (outstanding and yes, painful at times, though never enough to scream "Uncle," even on the worst trigger points), drop my wife's car off for servicing, and run home via the gentle trails in the intervening neighborhood. All went well with that, the run felt good, 6x15" strides as the rain started to fall near the end, and then I realized my nanny had gone to pick my son up from school, and I'd forgotten to unlock the man-door. Fortunately, school isn't that far away, so I did some lunges & leg swings in the shelter of our front stoop, knocked out some work emails on the Blackberry, and they eventually came back.
We will now return to our regularly scheduled eating. This was only a test.

It's work-mandated @David (though some more important than I have managed to swing Android and iPhone's through the system). What's worse is that they block downloading of any apps. At least it's the Torch. And thanks.

Well executed kneading, car-dropping and running. Multi-tasking guru you are. Love your skills in that regard and looking fw to hearing of your running exploits on display Sunday at Towpath!

Nice job, Greg. You're brave getting a massage this close to the marathon. I usually feel like crud for days afterward. Reminds me, though, I want to try to get one post-marathon. Good luck on Sunday!

I was a little concerned when I read about you using a blackberry and was relieved to find out that it is a mandatory device. I would have been a more than a little disappointed. btw, does anyone know which network was awarded the exclusive towpath broadcast rights this year, I'll be in the road but I want to set my vcr to record it.

@Christian, not sure, but the Akron Beacon Journal did have a brief story on it last year, naming me as the winner. Unfortunately, they took a picture of the leader early in the race - not the same person.

Nice work today Greg. Us IT/Security guys are such a pain with our mandatory phones, etc. (although we mandate the iPhone). Good luck Sunday. Go out and crush it!

I don't know why you're getting so much negative feedback for the blackberry. I'd be lucky to get a pager and quarters for a payphone through my office...

Greg....good job of getting the run in among your many tasks....I certainly wish you the very best on Sunday...I think it's safe to say that in this character building year of yours that you have not gone where the path may lead but instead went where there is no path and left a trail (Emerson).
