Hit the trails at North Chagrin today, part all-purpose, part easy dirt, part Progressive Insurance campus (no, I didn't see Flo - nor Des or Salty O.), and, despite just leaving the watch on time of day, hit exactly the goal of 7 miles when I got back to my car. Felt good today, minor spots of tightness, but consistent rolling, AIS, and a sports massage on Friday should iron that out.
Now if I could just iron out the issues with our soccer teams, losses of 6-0 and 7-0 (or something like that, I lost count) were the only things leaving me a bit sore. And our 4yo is on notice not to come too close this week, since he has picked up a cold. Bedtime kisses to be applied to the forehead only.

Hope the young one feels better soon. Nice miles to roll in the new week...and your pace...Wow!

You might need to put your son in a bubble! 13-0 in two games? Team might put you in a bubble.

Nice run Greg...be safe and keep those bugs away! Looks like the issue with your soccer team is that your not scoring....

Great 7 Greg. Sounds like things are starting well for race week. I wonder what the soccer team think of their coach ;)

@Sarah, I imagine they think he yells a lot.

My tip on how to win more soccer games. Score more goals. I didn't think that they kept score anymore for the younger ones. Murphy's law states that during Marathon everyone you encounter will be sick.

@David, officially, no - but no one can stop the kids from counting. Though one kindergartener kept asking if we won (I just replied "did you have fun?").

I have a sitter tonight or else I would have been there! Progressive's campus is great for winter tempos - lots of lights and well plowed. Run around there often too :)

Yeah, just a few weeks back in school, and already the kids have been sick! It's a real phenomenon. Great run today, and I love the victorious profile photo.

When I coached those little ones in soccer I found amusing (though sometimes frustrating) how they all swarm to the ball with no concept of "staying in a zone". All part of the long learning process ... Your learning is done for this training cycle - just staying sharp and healthy. Hope the little keeps his cold to himself until he is (better yet) rid of it. Smooth "no peek" 7 today Greg.
