Bringing Out the Arm Sleeves

With overnight lows in the low 40's, it was time to get the arm sleeves out - took a while to find them last night (for some reason, they had gotten separated), but glad I did as it was a perfect morning for them today. Just a comfortable watch-on-time-of-day run targeting an hour, with 6 x 20"/20" strides right at the finish, kept it flat.

"For some reason, they had gotten separated"? I don't know how it happens, but no matter how carefully I put away my winter stuff, by the time I need it again it's never all in one place. Nice hour run!

Strong run Greg. The cold clearly didn't slow you down :)

Nice 8 Greg. You are the 3rd person in my feed to mention pulling out the arm warmers. I may need to get myself some of those.

Nice run with strides!

Nice, easy run Greg. We had similar weather here this morning and I had a similar easy run. All in all, a great morning to be a runner.

great run, glad you found BOTH sleeves.

I saw the temps driving to work this morning and thought that this would be perfect for running. Your arm warmer was hanging around the sock that always shows up missing.

Nice 8 with the arm warmers! Busted mine out, too! Love this weather.

Hmm. These arm sleeves you speak of are something I do not have. Will need to acquire some for the upcoming timeframe where it is in-between cool and frigid.

I'm with you on the cold weather attire, today was the first day I've worn a long sleeve shirt, hat, and gloves in a LONG time! I probably could have done w/o the hat, but my hands always seem to get cold for some reason. Solid 8 miler this morning, Greg!

Right there with you. What a great morning for a run--albeit a chilly one. I see the arm sleeves didn't impede your solid pace. Nice 8.

Nice hour and strides, Greg. Heading out for my run in a bit and thinking arm sleeves are a good choice here too. Mine got separated from each other over the summer too but have united again :)

I guess I have to start paying attention to the weather man - i could have used the arm sleeves today too! Nice no-look hour Greg!

Brrr!! If you're pulling out the arm warmers, I'd better start looking for my insulated tights!! :) Great pace!!

Fall already in your neck of the woods?! It's just starting to get to the 50s in the morning here. Nice morning miles, Greg.

Very nice....to think I was happy with our 72 temp this morning.

Yeah, temp this morning was a shock, eh? I like the strategy you described yesterday re:moving runs to lunch for more sleep. Really looking forward to this year's race report.

Thanks all - @Daisy, couldn't move today's run later, but definitely felt the benefit of doing so yesterday (plus, didn't have to get up ridiculously early to fit this one in).

Good work Greg. Loving the relaxed 8 in an hour...I'd so like to get back near that point. I too have arm sleeve issues. Two pairs, each missing a mate, so I have one yellow and one red. Could be a good look.

Nice 8 Greg. Maybe your sleeves were mad at each other and seperated.

Greg, you have to wash those things once in awhile or they grow legs. LOL! Smokin 8. :)

Great "little" run, Greg. I guess it's that time of year. We're having a freak hot spell here in W. Washington (hot for us, anyway), so I'm enjoying that while it lasts. Keep up the great tapering!
