great Aurora Shores Anticipation 8 mi 01:03 07:52 pace

Ran an experiment where I substituted wine for the usual active isolated stretching and foam rolling last night. While the sample size was only one, the evidence supported the theory - started out stiff and tired on this one. But it turned more enjoyable about a mile in. Ran the neighborhood I usually reserve for intervals because it is pretty flat, gives a new perspective on a place when you aren't cursing your way through it. In my mind, at least, property values skyrocketed in Aurora Shores today.
Sprinkled in 8x20" strides in the last 1-1/2 miles, they felt easy and loose today.
Last 20+ of the program tomorrow. Going to be painting a pool all day today as part of a community service project for work, not exactly how I'd want to spend the day prior to a long run, but better now than before the race.

Great work on the anticipation. Good luck on the 20+ tomorrow. You will cruise right through it!

Great anticipation, strides more and more become my favorite part of that kind of run. Good luck tomorrow. I'll tell you, after you farewell to 15 I am kind of expecting a poem about 20 + and if you could work in something about pool painting that would be a bonus.

Great week, Greg. I ran on the towpath last night and thought the same thing: man, I need to run this on easy days more often. It's shocking how much easier it is to run without hills.

Really nice anticipation run Greg! You may find that the time painting and on your feet sets up up better then a day at the desk. Plus you will have all that good karma for helping the community!

Hmmm, maybe it's time to invest in property in Aurora Shores. I love a nice flat running space. Happy painting today.

Ah, yes, limited sample size...I recall this argument during your Stupidity about Studies series :) Glad you got out and anticipated your way through a nice morning today. Echoing Matt, hydrate well during the painting!

I tried this the other day as well and it didn't work out for me but maybe it was because it was beer instead of wine! New testing coming up later this week! Way to run strong and flush the 'toxins' out of your system!

Nice run. I think you need a bigger sample size before you decide for sure. My guess is that you can find a large number of DM'ers to help you with this experiment.
