Tip: playing water volleyball with an almost-5yo on your shoulders, and jumping up so that he can throw the ball over the net, is not good preparation for a hill workout. I was more sore this morning than I was after Sunday's 20-miler. Except for the 5x600m hill repeats (consistency not really there - 2:39, 2:30, 2:39, 2:43, 2:37), this run was just a warm, humid, sore slog/swim. I have a new appreciation for the work it takes salmon to swim uphill.
