good Cadence-Driven Near MP 7 mi 00:48 06:50 pace

Must be some sort of weird photosynthesis effect, as I've theorized before, when I run at lunch. Just focused on cadence and had trouble keeping it down to 180, at times touching 190 when I counted.
Felt good to get out, except for the part about coming back and having to deal with a major quality excursion. Going to be a long afternoon.

Super swift run Greg. Are you looking to lengthen your stride?

The giddyup is back in your step, that's for sure Greg! Sweet luncher! Cadence of 180 is the goal then? Work problems after a nice get-away run suck the fun outta ya. Hang in there.

Thanks guys - @David, actually looking to shorten my stride by making sure I keep my cadence high, but all it seems to be doing is making me go faster than intended.

Likewise I'm settling more and more naturally into a 180 cadence, but have trouble keeping it at that on uphills and on slower easy/recovery runs. Well worth doing, as there are plenty of injuries associated with overstriding that are avoided. Super run by the way, really snappy!!

It's hard to come back to the office to an emergency but nice to leave the office for a run.

Very nice lunch time run. I notice the same thing when I have to run postdawn, the speed seems to comes easier. On another note, I think you must have really done recovery right to be so close to where you were after just a couple of weeks back in. Great job on both counts!

So what's the plan now? Are you going to time trial yourself to see what your current level of fitness is before training or just carry on roughly from where you left off?

I think cadence goes up when you count, but how ever you look at it you are showing some healthy leg speed. Are you taking short strides, or is this your normal stride length?

Thanks all - @Aric, neither really, just going to put in some general aerobic miles the next few weeks, and then consider the 10 mile race I run every Father's Day as a possible time trial. Definitely not picking up where I left off. @Mike, I'm trying to take shorter strides but I'm not sure it's working.
