Every marathon and ultra I run is in honor of a fallen soldier or first responder. After the race, I dedicate the flag I carry, and race medal to the family.

I'm going to have to call it a year for running races. I'm way over my marathon budget and just need to get my life caught back up, but what a great year full of milestones for me!
I helped put together my first annual race, "24 Hours For 24 Heroes" which I hope you will attend next year on Memorial Day weekend. I also pushed myself beyond my limits by running (and walking) non-stop for 50 hours during my 3000-minute run to honor and remember the victims of 9/11. Plus, this will be another 3000+ mileage year!
We have some great ideas in the works for 2012 to continue to help our fallen heroes!
I'll continue training throughout the winter, and will see all of you at race soon! Have a fantastic fall/winter race season everyone!

Our club will continue training thru the winter too! Come run with us! www.olatherunningclub.com -
I enjoyed cheering you on at the Patriot's Run. Awesome accomplishment.
